A Cappella Plus is celebrating mothers everywhere with a program of favourites that have been selected by members of the choir.
The group has planned a concert for May 10 at St. Mark’s Anglican Church in Qualicum Beach, according to a news release.
"We will present exquisite 'soundscape’ selections like 'Peace of Wild Things' and 'Tabula Rasa'. 'Desh', an Indian Raga, is full of wonderful rhythms and exotic melodies. 'Butterfly' and 'Torn Screen Door' are beautifully poignant," the release said. "There is great fun to be had with 'Gee! Mine or Mozart’s?' a zany take on one of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s compositions that you will recognize immediately. Then there is 'Come Go with Me', an iconic bubble gum hit from the 50s!"
Also on the list are "Seven Bridges Road", made famous by the Eagles, and a trip down memory lane, as is "The Sound of Silence" by Paul Simon.

The concert starts at 7 p.m. St. Mark’s Anglican Church is located at 138 Hoylake Rd.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $12.50 for students and no charge for children under 12.
