Meet the candidates for SD 27 trustee by-election

A by-election is underway to fill the role of trustee for Zone 4 on SD 27's board of education.

Board of education candidates are campaigning for votes as School District 27’s (SD 27) trustee by-election is underway.  

The candidates are vying for the role of trustee representing Zone 4 which encompasses addresses in Likely, Horsefly, Big Lake, 150 Mile House and Williams Lake First Nation.

The fourth candidate, Connor Ikoma, did not respond to simplymastery's request for an interview. 

Advanced voting will be held at the SD 27 board office in Williams Lake on Feb. 25 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and on Feb. 26 from noon until 8 p.m. 

General voting will be on March 8 from eight in the morning until eight at night. Voting stations will be open at the Big Lake Elementary School library, the Williams Lake First Nation Elizabeth Grouse Gym and in the following schools’ gymnasiums: 

  • Horsefly Elementary Junior Secondary School  

  • Likely Elementary School  

  • 150 Mile Elementary School. 

Proof of identity and residency is required when you vote.  

Preliminary results will be announced the evening of March 8, and official results will be determined on March 10 at 3 p.m.
