It's been about a dozen years Stan Matthews has been raising money for Easter Seals House through the annual Snowarama Ride.
It's a snowmobile trail ride that accepts cash donations from participants, and takes them through some of the South Cariboo's lovely snow-covered countryside.
This year, the ride is on Feb. 27, starting at 10 a.m. from Sheridan Lake at 7659 Larson Rd.
The route will follow trails to Higgins Lake, where Matthews will serve a complimentary lunch of chili, hotdogs and hot drinks around a bonfire.
After that, the ride will continue to Horse Lake and back again to Sheridan Lake. The tour is expected to take about four hours.
Over the years of his involvement with Snowarama, he has raised nearly $250,000 for Easter Seal House. Matthews says he hopes to add as much as possible to that amount this year.
"Come for a ride and make pledges and donations if you can. If you can't, come for a nice ride anyway."
