Local kids had an egg-cellent time at the District of Sicamous' annual Easter Egg Hunt at Finlayson Park Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
An early morning rain didn't put a damper on the April 19 event, as kids hit the field unfazed in search of the brightly coloured treasures scattered throughout. The hunt was divided into age groups to give every bunny a fair chance to get the goods, with a bubbly start to each round with the addition of a bubble machine this year.
District recreation manager Jamie Sherlock said 130 kids had pre-registered for the event, but expected the actual number to be about 150 due to some last minute participants.
In addition to the egg hunt, kids got to hop between other attractions such as local fire trucks, face painting, games, cookie decorating and paper butterfly making.
