On Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025 a dozen community members gathered to begin folding 1,000 paper cranes for 100 Mile House resident Logan Sikirc. Sikiric is currently receiving treatment for leukaemia and family friend Cecilia de Groot plans to use the 1,000 paper cranes to create a hanging mobile for him. The mobile will then be auctioned off with all proceeds being donated to Sikiric and his family.
