On Sunday, June 29, Port Hardy came alive with colour, music, and celebration as the community gathered to honour Pride Month.

Pride festivities kicked off at 11:30 a.m. with a sidewalk march from the Thunderbird Mall to Carrot Park, followed by a land acknowledgement and a welcome from the mayor.

After that, there was a flag raising, vendors, food trucks, prizes and games, and a bouncy castle for youth to enjoy. Guests enjoyed live music from The Voice Collective Community which started at 1 p.m.
