A free family event sponsored by Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre (CFEC) partnering with Success by 6, is coming to 100 Mile.
The Second Annual Winter Carnival will be held Feb. 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 100 Mile Junior Secondary gym.
“Last year’s event was so successful, we are looking to have another wonderful event this year,” says Child Care Resource & Referral (CCRR) consultant Erica Henderson.
“It is still in the early stages of planning, but if there are any people who would like to volunteer to help with the activities for the day, we would certainly welcome the help.”
This year, families are invited to enjoy: story time and book give-aways; puppet shows by the 100 Mile House Library; Bouncy Castle; face painting by Cheeky Lil’ Monkeys; live music by Dusty Sundman from the Youth Zone; snacks provided by the 100 Mile Lioness Club; and games and crafts tables will also be set up.
I want the public to know that there is no charge to the Winter Carnival, Henderson says, adding all the activities, the entertainment and snacks are free.
