It was a full house at the Creekside Seniors Centre Christmas Potluck on Sunday (Dec. 10).

Organizers set up enough chairs for 88 and had to add an additional 10 chairs, said organizer Joyce Bueckert.

“I’m amazed at this because there was so many things happening in town today and I thought we’re not going to get that many but there are people here I’ve never seen before,” said Bueckert.

“It’s been so busy the last two weeks and we have the silent auction,” she said, smiling. “We haven’t had it since before COVID-19.

While Santa was not on the day’s agenda, Marc Allen played for the crowd.

Every now and then during the music, some of the auction sheets were pulled and people could come up and pay for their auction items.

Businesses from the area were incredibly generous. There was a variety of gift certificates, two loads of gravel and from the 108 Golf Resort, eight 18-hole passes plus a range of donated items.
